How Crying Nourishes Your Soul

Make it stand out

I refer to this book a lot this past year. I deeply believe every woman should read this book at least once. It’s helped me understand and recover from the deepest heartaches and pains on my journey.

I won’t go into much detail however, I specifically want to share about how she poetically describes tears in this post.

Starting somewhere on page 437, Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes writes:

“Tears are wise expression:

1) Call spirits to your side

2) Repel those who muffle and bind the simple soul

3) Heal injuries of poor bargains made by humans

4) Mend energy leakages; they are your protection

5) Keeps away unhealthy desire or gain that will ruin her.

6) Melt the icy heart.”

Do with that information as you wish.
